The School of Engineering and Digital Arts looks forward to hosting a free DocExplore Training Event on Thursday 26th June in the Jennison Building. DocExplore is a new, free, open source software suite enabling the easy creation of interactive digital presentations suitable for the promotion of written heritage collections.
Participants will be introduced to software allowing users to build their own interactive presentation using DocExplore, and further allows users to import scanned images of a document or manuscript, attach explanatory text, images, sound and video to enhance the understanding of the document. The end result is a presentation for display, either on a local computer or on-line via the web.
For enquiries relating to the event, please contact Dr Richard Guest. More information on DocExplore, demonstrations and downloads, can be acessed here.
