Fully funded PhD Studentship – Adaptive multi-band miniaturised antennas for next-generation mobile phones

Following Professor Steven Gao’s research grant success, we are pleased to announce that we currently have a fully funded PhD studentship available in the School of Engineering and Digital Arts.

The project will include the design, modelling, simulation and analysis of adaptive multi-band small-size antennas for smart phones and Antenna fabrication and testing. We are looking for an excellent student with a Master’s degree in engineering or physics with experience in antenna designs, or electromagnetics or RF or microwave engineering. Working or research experience in antennas or RF or microwave engineering will be a plus.

Further details of the project are on the School’s postgraduate research project page together with details of how to apply.

The closing date for applications is 6 July 2014.
