Congratulations to Dr John Batchelor and Dr Simon Holder

Congratulations to Dr John Batchelor of EDA and Dr Simon Holder of SPS who have been awarded an EPSRC grant of £441,579 entitled “Sustainable Manufacturing of Low Power Wireless Sensors”. This is a joint award with Digital Fabrication Specialists at the University of Manchester. The project will investigate the use of functional polymers to sense vapours for future application in the Internet of Things (IoT), where one potential application is for smart packaging which alerts users when perishable contents begin to degrade.
