Professor Steven Gao from the School of Engineering and Digital Arts has been invited to deliver a talk at the “UK-Singapore Satellite R&D Seminar” jointly organised by the UK Space Agency and the British High Commission in Singapore, which takes place on 4-5 February 2014 in Singapore. There are only 6 institutions from the UK (excluding government agencies such as UKSA and SAC) that have been invited to participate including Surrey Satellite Technology Limited, MSSL at University College London, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Cranfield University, the University of Kent and Clyde Space Ltd.
Steven’s talk will focus on smart antennas for synthetic aperture radars. This event was initiated by the UK Science and Innovation Network (SIN) Singapore in partnership with the Economic Development Board, National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research. It was developed to provide a forum for stakeholders from both the UK and Singapore to showcase their research, share best practice and explore possibilities for collaborative research, while establishing lasting scientific links between institutions.
