Congratulations to Dr Benito Sanz and Professor Ted Parker from the Broadband and Wireless Communications Research Group in the School of Engineering and Digital Arts for their recently published paper ‘3D printing technique for fabrication of frequency selective structures for built environment’ which was selected to feature on the IET website.
Our Research Group was the first to propose 3D printing technique for fabrication of frequency selective structures for built-up environments. The cores of the elements are fabricated using a material based on commercially available plaster, and so offer a straightforward approach to the control of electromagnetic wave propagation in buildings.
