Congratulations to all our MSc and PhD students who graduated in Canterbury Cathedral on Friday, 23rd November. This was followed by a Reception and Prize Giving in the School where families, friends and staff celebrated their success. Prizes were awarded as follows:-
The Rohde & Schwarz Project Prize was awarded by Mr. Phil McCluskey of Rohde & Schwarz to Ibrahim Altwairqi for his project on a Wireless/RF related topic on the Broadband and Mobile Communication Networks MSc.
The IEEE UK&RI Telecommunications Prize was presented by Professor Sarah Spurgeon, Head of School, to Rodrigo Santamaria Vanegas who was the best MSc student in the telecommunications field on the Broadband and Mobile Communication Networks MSc.
The Procon Engineering Project Prize was awarded by Mr. Mark Hopkins of Procon Engineering to Ifeoma Benjamin for the best project on the Embedded Systems and Instrumentation or Advanced Electronic Systems Engineering MSCs.
We were delighted that three additional prizes were sponsored this year and they were awarded as follows:-
The Wurth Prize was presented by Dr. Nathan Gomes, Chair of the Broadband and Mobile Communications Networks and the Wireless Communications & Signal Processing MScs to Ryan Husbands for the best project on the Wireless Communications & Signal Processing MSc.
The A&E Prize for Computer Graphics Excellence was presented by Mr. David Byers-Brown, Chair of the Computer Animation and Digital Visual Effects MScs, to Sagar Wanaker.
The BAE Systems Prize was awarded by Mr. Fawad Khan of BAE Systems for the best overall MSc Engineering project.
