Professor John E. Inglesfield from the School of Physics and Astronomy at Cardiff University will give a Research Seminar on “Photonics and the Embedding Method” in Jennison Seminar Room 1 at 3-4 pm on 24th May 2012 where he will describe the derivation of the embedding method for electromagnetic problems, the developments which are needed compared with the Schrödinger equation, and results for plasmonics in lattices and lines of spheres and cylinders.
