The School’s next Research Seminar will be on 22nd May 2012 in the Jennison Lecture Theatre at 11.30-12.30 pm. Shannon Bohle from the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge will give a presentation on “Virtual Worlds as Portals for Information Discovery”. In the presentation she will discuss what she has learned over the past three years about how organizations, such as NASA, the US Army, and the IEEE use virtual worlds for serious games, looking specifically at points of intersection she had had with these groups. All are welcome.
