Dr M A Hannan bin Azhar has joined the Image and Information Engineering Research Group as an Honorary Research Associate (part-time). He will be working with Dr. Sanaul Hoque and Dr Farzin Deravi using advanced computer vision techniques in uniquely identifying reptiles and amphibians (e.g. Newts, grass snakes, and similar creatures). This is a new initiative with the Durrell Institute of Conservation & Ecology.
Dr Azhar is an alumnus of this school and was awarded his PhD in 2008.
