Shepherd Neame have been sponsoring the Employability Points\nScheme for a number of years, offering internships, work experience placements\nand company experiences in videography, digital marketing, scientific processes\nand much more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For 2018-19, the EP team caught up with Ashish Singh (School\nof Computing), who has been undertaking an internship in the IT Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reflecting on his internship, Ashish commented that prior to\nthe placement, he had \u2018no corporate experience and the internship has been a\ngreat opportunity to expose myself\u2026this internship covered areas I was most\nfamiliar with and has been an opportunity to see if it is the right career\npath.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During his internship, Ashish has been undertaking a Service\nDesk role, providing guidance to users, investigating faults and building PCs\nand laptops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ashish has managed to have a real positive impact upon both the IT team and the wider business; one particular colleague was so happy with Ashish\u2019s work, she bought him a thank you card!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ashish commented:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI was looking for a commercial experience and this has been met and I will have the opportunity to learn more from the Infrastructure Team. I can\u2019t thank the Shepherd Neame team enough for the valuable experience they have offered me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
