Global Radio is home to some of the UK’s best-loved radio stations such as Heart, Capital and Classic FM, to name a few, with 23.1 million listeners tuned in and entertained each week.<\/p>\n

Global also manage some of the best musical talent around, publish some of the biggest tracks in the charts, and run two of the freshest music TV channels.<\/p>\n

Rewards 2018-19<\/h2>\n

Global will be offering one student a 1-week work experience placement, covering the different departments within this successful commercial radio station. The student will gain an understanding of how the station functions through working on a range of live projects.<\/p>\n

Case Study<\/h2>\n

Previously, Jayna Rana, Centre of Journalism, won a two-week work experience placement with Global Radio, through the EP Scheme.<\/p>\n

\"\"During this two-week period, Jayna received the opportunity to see how a successful radio station operates, and given her interest in journalism, the reward was tailored to allow her to see how news is gathered and produced for radio.<\/p>\n

Having identified that she was interested in journalism, we gave her lots of experience in the news department and she worked closely with Zora Suleman who was able to work with her on both Kent news and national stories.
