Back in May, our students were given the opportunity to visit FX Digital in their London office!
We had some brilliant sessions with a variety of different areas of the company. We learned about the company’s history and about the variety of roles within FX. There were some brilliant talks on Project management, Product Testing, being an intern at FX and Engineering. Students worked together on coming up with wireframes as a team and explain why the features were added and presented them to the group. They also worked together to identify each stage of a project and which team would be working in that stage. We got to see the server room too! This was great to see all of the different devices they work with and this gave us a bit of an understanding of the scope of their work and how much they have to test.
They prepared an excellent lunch for our students and were excellent hosts throughout the entire day, allowing students time to ask questions. If you’re interested in software development, I’d recommend attending this Experience day! It was incredibly insightful into how applications we used everyday are made and meeting the minds who make it happen.
