The annual deadline for students to log co-curricular activities for Employability Points is 16th March 2020 (5pm). To apply for EP rewards you need 50 points for employability & skills development sessions sessions and £10 Amazon vouchers, 100 points for work shadowing, 150 points for work experience, 175 points for project placements and 200 points for an internship.
If you have not quite got enough points yet, here are some handy tips from the EP team:
- Remember, you can claim points for all co-curricular activities undertaken whilst you have been registered as a student at the University of Kent. These can be activities undertaken in past academic years.
- You can log activities undertaken off-campus, such as job interviews, assessment centres, part-time work, etc.
- You cannot log your year abroad or placement year if it is a part of your degree, but if you did anything extra whilst undertaking these activities (training, volunteering, networking events, etc) you can claim points!
- If you are undertaking the Global Skills Award and have undertaken enough workshops and lectures to receive the award, you can claim a further 15 points!
If you are looking to get involved with more activities to earn points, here are some ideas:
- All students can complete the Careers Award and claim 60 points.
- Short-term Study Plus courses are available here.
- The Careers Service are running a range of workshops. See here.
Good luck and remember, get involved! Get rewarded!
