Would you like to help people get online and develop their digital skills while earning Employability Points?
The University of Kent and Kent County Council’s Libraries are working together to help people get online and develop their digital skills. The Kent Digital Inclusion Initiative is a joint project which aims to help library groups and other library customers build their confidence to use online services and the internet, and introduce them to productivity tools curated by the University of Kent.
We are looking for volunteers who can work with individuals and small groups to demonstrate online services. We will supply an iPad for volunteers to use during these sessions. This volunteer role is flexible and can fit round your studies and other commitments, taking an hour or two a week.
If you would like to find out more, come along to an information session on Monday 9 March from 13:00-16:30. Enjoy free pizza and earn EP’s too!
To register your interest, details of the venue and more information please email libraryvolunteers@kent.gov.uk
The Kent Digital Inclusion Initiative is funded by the Local Government Association.
