Competition: Reflect on Your Employability Journey

While at University, it is important to remember to keep a record of what you accomplish for the future.

It is no good having undertaken tons of volunteer opportunities or completed an assortment of work experience placements, if when asked in an interview, you find you cannot remember any of them!

You can create a ‘My EPS Journey’ Journal on MyFolio. This is a profile page, outlining the activities you have completed to earn points and the rewards which you may have undertaken. These journals can be published and added to your CVs and LinkedIn Profiles. They can help illustrate to employers, who might not be familiar with the EP Scheme, how hard you have worked to achieve points.

You are free to be creative as you would like and you can add links, videos and photographs.

To help encourage you, we will be running a competition: The Best ‘My EPS Journey’ Reflective Journal.

This competition gives you the chance to showcase your achievements through creating your own ‘My EPS Journey’ Journal and reflect on what you have gained while engaging with the Employability Points Scheme. A How to Guide can be found here.

If you would like to enter the competition, the deadline to submit your journal is 5pm on 9th June 2017.

Once completed, you must email the link of the journal to the EP team via employabilitypoints@kent.ac.uk to be considered.

EP will be awarding £20 Amazon Vouchers for the best Journal.

If you are about to graduate, this is a great opportunity to demonstrate to employers, what you have achieved during your time at Kent!
