The GGI are a team of dedicated advisors whose focus has been to optimise the abilities of managers, leaders, teams, organisations, NGO’s and Governments for over 20 years. The GGI provide a variety of programmes and tools in order to do this, EP was privileged to have an insight into one of those programmes.
On Thursday 10th June, a group of EP students joined online for a fascinating presentation from Wayne Clarke, Founding Partner of The GGI. Wayne has over 20 years’ experience helping to increase the performance of organisations through improved people engagement. This experience was clearly evident in his presentation to us – Wayne shared many stories and insights.
Wayne talked about the importance of time – how we use it and how crucial it is to take time out just to ‘think’. We learnt about the importance of empathy and creating a memorable experience for a customer/client, no matter what industry we work in. There was a feeling of a ripple effect of action and behaviour, of empowering individuals to be and feel their best so they may pass that on to the next person. Wayne also shared his ’12 Steps of a Great Manager’ – certainly very inspiring and thought-provoking for all areas of life.
Following the excellent workshop, Wayne was generous enough to select a number of students to receive access to The GGI’s World Class Manager Programme – 24 modules focussing on the critical skills managers need to get the best out of themselves and their people. Furthermore, The GGI have partnered with Study Plus to deliver some workshops to University of Kent students!
Overall, this was a very memorable workshop and EP are extremely grateful to Wayne and The GGI for their support.
