As soon as Autumn Term starts GK Unions will be needing friendly, active volunteers for Welcome Weekend.
Medway Welcome Helpers are a vital part of the Welcome experience when new students are arriving at university. You remember how nervous you were and how unfamiliar the Medway campus was when you first arrived? Welcome Helpers are vital to new students to act as a helping hand moving their stuff, sign posting around campus, and generally making them feel comfortable and welcome.
Arrivals Weekend 2019 will take place on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th September 2019. It should be a busy but rewarding weekend with fun welcome events to help with as well as transporting students’ belongings. Compulsory training for Welcome Helpers will take place on Thursday 12th September. You will be supported by your Full Time Officers and GK Unions staff and get a free t-shirt!
