Gain valuable experience in event planning and management!

Do you have a passion for planning and delivering events? Do you do this for a society or perhaps considering this as a career?

If so, the EP Scheme is offering a varied selection of rewards focusing on event planning this year, just see below:

Canterbury Cathedral Lodge is a unique and contemporary hotel and conference venue situated within the grounds of Canterbury Cathedral. The lodge is offering a 3-week work experience placement, which will cover all aspects of planning and preparing events, ranging from weddings to Christmas parties! Furthermore, if dates align, the reward winner will get the chance to assist with the delivery of a wedding.

Shepherd Neame is Britain’s oldest brewer and their Visitor Centre is responsible for delivering brewery tours and hosting events, such as weddings and corporate occasions. Again, one student will gain the chance to undertake work experience, which will involve event planning, research, supporting tours and much more!

If you are interested in the charity sector, the Samaritans are offering the chance for five students to co-organise an event which will boost awareness of the charity. Additionally, East Kent Mencap are offering students the chance to assist with their annual event.

Lastly, Canterbury BID, an organisation responsible for enhancing the business community within Canterbury, is providing a Marketing and Events internship. In addition to coordinating marketing campaigns and social media, one student will have the chance to assist with the promotion and organisation of Canterbury’s renowned Medieval Pageant and Trail!
