Part of the Reach PLC group (once Trinity Mirror), Kent Live have a rich heritage in the county – their newspapers are the award winning Kent and Sussex Courier, Sevenoaks Chronicle, Isle of Thanet Gazette, Dover Express and the Folkestone Herald.
Paid for titles serving the west and east of the county, they feature separate entertainment, property and sports sections, and are well known in their towns for their strong campaigns and for standing up for causes in their communities.
Since Kent Live’s launch in 2016, they have recorded year-on-year growth in audience share in Kent. Their print and digital teams work together in their fast-paced Tunbridge Wells and Sandwich newsrooms to create and publish innovative multimedia content every day. Kent Live are the only site in the county to regularly carry live coverage of breaking news and the biggest events, and their reporters also write reviews and features. They aim to lead the way digitally in the region.
The successful applicant will get the chance to attend daily conferences, pitch ideas, carry out interviews, and create content for our website and newspapers.

Reward 2019-20
One EP student will gain the chance to work on Kent Live and the Kent Live newspapers. They will be tasked with covering both breaking and general news, as well as the ‘What’s On’ entertainment and leisure sections.
The student will also be tasked with sourcing, curating and writing content for local events.
