How to apply for EP Rewards: A Guide

Matt Cook, EP Officer

With the EP deadline to log your co-curricular activities only 4-weeks away (19th March 2018), have you considered whether you wish to get rewarded for your efforts?

One of the basic premises of the EP Scheme is to provide experiences of work to students who have proactively engaged with co-curricular activities. Accordingly, if you have earned sufficient points, you will have the chance to apply for our exclusive rewards:

Reward Points required
Internship 200
Project placement 175
Work experience 150
Training 125
Work shadowing 100
Skills development 75
Company experience 75
Mock assessment centre 75
Employability session 50
Voucher 50

Applying for EP rewards is a simple process and if you wish to undertake this journey, please take note of the following:

  1. In early March, we will send you the 2018 Rewards Pack. This document will include all available EP rewards and provide you with the important information, such as dates, locations, criteria’s etc. We would recommend dedicating some time to review the document and plan which rewards interest you the most! This is also the perfect time to book a 1-1 appointment with the EP team and discuss your options.
  2. Next, you must have all your activities logged on MyFolio by 19th March 2018 (17:00).
  3. On 21st March, if you have 50 points or more, we will be sending you an application form! This will allow you to apply for the rewards, for which you have sufficient points (see table above). Another top tip is to apply for as many rewards as possible, as this will increase your chances of success! (If you want to roll your points over to 2018-19, ignore this form!)
  4. You must submit this form by 3rd April 2018 (23:59) and the EP team will review these throughout April. If your application has been unsuccessful, we will contact you to discuss what other rewards are available.
  5. If you have been shortlisted for a reward, we may want to invite you to attend an interview. Invites will be sent out in late April and interviews held throughout May.
  6. Subject to everything going OK, you can start your reward from early June (unless otherwise stated in the Rewards Pack).

Throughout this whole process, the EP team will be here to help ensure you succeed! Please don’t hesitate to contact us via employabilitypoints@kent.ac.uk to ask questions or book a 1-1 appointment!

Remember,

Get involved! Get rewarded!
