Kick off the New Year by Gaining Points!

By the EP Team

So, you’ve eaten too much over Christmas, spent far too much in the January sales and already broken your New Year’s Resolution. Don’t worry, you can still turn the year around – by logging all your co-curricular activities for Employability Points!

Need some inspiration? Here are five ways to get points this January:

  1. Attend Refreshers Fayre – 5 points

(Weds 17th and Thurs 18th January for Canterbury students and Weds 31st January for Medway students)

Come along and have a chat, the EP team will be there to answer any questions you have about points, rewards or our exciting sponsors!

  1. Run in an election campaign – 15 points

(Nominations open on Mon 22nd January)

You can run to be a full-time or part-time officer, and make a positive impact on the lives of current and future students. You don’t need any previous training and there are a whole host of officer positions to apply for. Find out more here.

  1. Kent Union Recruitment Day– 5 points

(Tues 23rd and Weds 24th January)

This is a chance for students interested in working on Campus to find out more information. Check out the Kent Union website for further details.

  1. Complete an Award – 15-60 points

Spend just a few hours completing the Careers Award on Moodle for a whopping 60 points. See here for more details. Have a go at the Enterprise Skills Award with points ranging from 15-30. Find out more here.

  1. Volunteering – 10-40

There are many volunteering opportunities to get involved with. Whether your interests are international, social, sustainability-awareness or well-being, you are bound to find a worthy cause to help. Kent Union give some example here. Remember, your volunteering does not have to be on campus or arranged through the university to get you points.

New year, new you, and lots of new rewards available with EP! Check them out here.

Don’t forget that the deadline for logging all of your points is 19th March at 5pm!
