{"id":543,"date":"2015-05-13T14:49:15","date_gmt":"2015-05-13T13:49:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/?p=543"},"modified":"2020-03-17T12:17:48","modified_gmt":"2020-03-17T12:17:48","slug":"summer-challenge-300-miles-in-10-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/2015\/05\/13\/summer-challenge-300-miles-in-10-days\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer Challenge &#8211; 300 miles in 10 days!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pete Shaw, a third-year Economics student, is\u00a0one of 10 members of the University&#8217;s Athletics and XC\u00a0Club\u00a0taking part in the <a href=\"http:\/\/cants2dam.wix.com\/cants2dam\">Cants2Dam Summer Challenge<\/a>,\u00a0a 300 mile run from Canterbury to Amsterdam. The event is in\u00a0support of\u00a0the British Heart Foundation and every runner will complete the 300 mile distance, this is not a relay!<\/p>\n<p>The team will set out off\u00a0from the University&#8217;s Canterbury campus on 15 June to Dover,\u00a0before catching a ferry across the Channel.\u00a0 After an overnight stop they will begin\u00a0their 9-day journey\u00a0to Amsterdam, via Brussels.
