Our esteemed graduates descended upon Canterbury Cathedral, but not before joining us for a celebration reception so that we could raise a glass to their achievements.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4683\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4683\" style=\"width: 750px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/files\/2022\/11\/P1135751.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-4683\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/files\/2022\/11\/P1135751.jpg\" alt=\"ECONGRAD\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4683\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Head of School Professor Miguel Leon Ledesma with Dr Yannis Galanakis<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We were honoured to bask in the celebrations alongside our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/about\/computing-engineering-and-mathematical-sciences#:~:text=The%20Division%20of%20Computing%2C%20Engineering,of%20undergraduate%20and%20postgraduate%20opportunities.\">CEMS<\/a> Division peers, with Director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/office-vice-chancellor\/executive-group\/ben-cosh\">Ben Cosh<\/a> announcing the prize winners, giving our Economics grads a special message:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Congratulations to everybody graduating from economics today, really proud of you well done!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Our Prize Winners:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>The Walter Hagenbuch Economics Prize<\/strong>, awarded for the best postgraduate degree performance in Economics, went to <strong>Zibani Masimo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Zibani also received the prize\u00a0for the <strong>best stage 1 performance<\/strong> in the Economics MSc.<\/p>\n<p>Awarded for the <strong>best MSc dissertation<\/strong> in the School of Economics, this year&#8217;s prize winners were <strong>Mason Veilleux<\/strong>, <strong>Kaustabh<\/strong> <strong>Adhya<\/strong>, <strong>Arnold<\/strong> <strong>Bigabwa<\/strong>, and <strong>Tristin Maharaj<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4684\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4684\" style=\"width: 750px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/files\/2022\/11\/P1135760.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-4684\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/files\/2022\/11\/P1135760.jpg\" alt=\"ECONGRAD\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4684\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">MSc graduate Arnold Bigabwa, won a prize for his dissertation.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/alumni\"><strong>Join the Kent Alumni Network<\/strong><\/a> and keep up to date with our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/econunikent\/\"><strong>insta<\/strong><\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Filled with joy, we celebrated the achievements of our Class of 2022 graduates.
