{"id":4267,"date":"2022-08-09T09:53:34","date_gmt":"2022-08-09T08:53:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/?p=4267"},"modified":"2023-01-16T12:36:42","modified_gmt":"2023-01-16T12:36:42","slug":"phd-candidate-receives-a-frederic-bastiat-fellowship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/2022\/08\/09\/phd-candidate-receives-a-frederic-bastiat-fellowship\/","title":{"rendered":"Phd candidate receives a Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Bastiat Fellowship."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/people\/3004\/yamou-telma\">Telma Yamou<\/a>, PhD candidate has received a <a href=\"https:\/\/asp.mercatus.org\/content\/bastiat-fellowship\">Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Bastiat Fellowship,<\/a>\u00a0one-year, competitive fellowship program awarded to graduate students attending master\u2019s, juris doctoral, and doctoral programs in a variety of fields including economics, law, political science, and public policy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I am interested in using economic theory, non-market valuation techniques (Choice experiment, Contingent valuation) and causal inference methods (diff-in-diff, IV, etc) to address real-world agri-environmental issues, to inform policymaking.
