The winners received formal recognition of their exceptional contributions at a prize ceremony, as well as a funding or training allocation of \u00a33,000.<\/p>\n<p>The prizes celebrate the achievements of academic, professional services and technician staff across a range of areas and in particular, highlight activities that have had a transformative effect, creating new knowledge, benefiting a particular community, and supporting others in the research and innovation ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>This years winners from HSS are:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b>Starting Research Prize:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Winner \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/1920\/sengupta-nikhil\">Dr Nikhil Sengupta<\/a><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b>Consolidator Prize:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Highly commended \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/219\/cichocka-aleksandra\">Dr Aleksandra Cichocka<\/a><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b>Advanced Research Prize:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Joint winner (with Ann-Marie Towers) <b>\u00a0<\/b>\u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/221\/douglas-karen\">Professor Karen Douglas<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>KE Collaboration Prize:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Winner \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/217\/brown-anna\">Dr Anna Brown<\/a><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b>Technician of the Year:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Winner\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Frank Gasking<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b>Professional Services Support of the Year Prize:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Winner\u00a0\u2013 Jacqueline Aldridge<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b>2022 Kent Research and Innovation Community Prize:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Joint winners\u00a0 \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/218\/cameron-lindsey\">Dr Lindsey Cameron<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/276\/swift-hannah\">Dr Hannah Swift\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Highly commended \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/people\/2278\/wahhaj-zaki\">Dr Zaki Wahhaj\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Professor David Wilkinson, Director of the Division of Human and Social Sciences sent his best wishes to all the recipients:<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I am so pleased for our academic and professional services colleagues in HSS who have received an R&amp;I award.
