This hybrid workshop, hosted by The Development Economics Research Centre at Kent, meets for the third time this June. <\/p>\n
The Development Economics Research Centre at Kent (DeReCK<\/a>) will host a research workshop on \u201cMicroeconomic Approaches to Development Economics\u201d on 13-14 June.<\/p>\n This will be the third iteration of the workshop series at Kent and the centre\u2019s first in-person workshop since it\u2019s formal inception in September 2020.<\/p>\n ‘This year\u2019s workshop is designed to consolidate links with the centre\u2019s first cohort of external research fellows<\/a> appointed in 2021 as well as facilitate exchanges with the wider community of researchers on global development challenges.’ Dr Zaki Wahhaj<\/a>, Co-Director of DeReCK explained ‘It will also include participation of non-academic stakeholders to provide policy-related discussions on the research presented at the workshop, and inform key stakeholders about the policy implications of this research.’<\/p>\n The workshop will include research presentations on a range of development topics including agriculture, climate change and political economy, women\u2019s education, child marriage, sanitation, devolution and conflict.<\/p>\n View the full programme here.\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n June 13-14, <\/span>with both in-person and online participation. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Please register if you are planning to attend online\u00a0here. <\/a><\/span>We will then email a Zoom link to join online.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
