Research from the school assesses daily company registrations and shows that the wholesale and retail sectors have been showing most growth in the UK since the first national lockdown.<\/p>\n

Researchers led by principal investigator Dr Anthony Savagar<\/a> along with Dr Alfred Duncan<\/a>, Yannis Galanakis<\/a> and Professor Miguel Le\u00f3n-Ledesma<\/a> have been using the basic data from the Companies House since the pandemic began in 2020.<\/p>\n

The register records every company in the UK with its incorporation date, post code and industry. This makes it possible to measure daily company registrations by region and sector of activity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
