The School of Economics has run a successful inaugural summer school for members of the Government Economics Service. The summer school, running for three days in July, was well-received by the participants and looks to become a regular fixture in the future.<\/p>\n
The summer school was opened with a welcome from the Vice-Chancellor and taught by a number of the School’s high-profile staff, including subjects such as tax and growth, monetary policy, behavioural economics, arms trade and control, environmental valuation and transport policy.<\/p>\n
The participants came from a number of different government Schools including Health, HM Treasury, Work and Pensions, Transport, International Development, and Children, Schools and Young People.<\/p>\n
