{"id":1763,"date":"2019-10-14T17:36:30","date_gmt":"2019-10-14T16:36:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/?p=1763"},"modified":"2020-02-17T17:18:15","modified_gmt":"2020-02-17T17:18:15","slug":"affiliation-with-glo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/2019\/10\/14\/affiliation-with-glo\/","title":{"rendered":"Affiliation with GLO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">The School of Economics at Kent is pleased to announce a new affiliation with the Global Labor Organization (GLO), which will connect the University of Kent with over 1,500 academics and researchers worldwide.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/staff\/profiles\/matloob-piracha.html\">Dr Matloob Piracha<\/a>, Senior Lecturer at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/\">School of Economics<\/a> and\u00a0Director of\u00a0GLO, is confident that this new partnership will contribute positively to the excellent research environment of the School.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/glabor.org\/\">Global Labor Organization<\/a> (GLO)\u00a0is a global, independent, non-partisan and non-governmental organization that has no institutional position. The GLO functions as an\u00a0international network and virtual platform\u00a0for researchers, policy makers, practitioners and the general public interested in\u00a0scientific research and its policy and societal implications\u00a0on global labor markets, demographic challenges and human resources.
