{"id":1500,"date":"2018-09-15T17:16:23","date_gmt":"2018-09-15T16:16:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/?p=1500"},"modified":"2020-05-07T14:31:46","modified_gmt":"2020-05-07T13:31:46","slug":"internationalisation-fund-for-visiting-academics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/2018\/09\/15\/internationalisation-fund-for-visiting-academics\/","title":{"rendered":"Internationalisation fund for visiting academics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this year, Dr Anirban Mitra was\u00a0awarded (along with six other colleagues from the School) a sum of \u00a31000 (a combination of the Dean of Internationalisation&#8217;s Fund and\u00a0School research funds) for conducting collaborative research with\u00a0co-authors based outside\u00a0the UK.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0collaboration with\u00a0co-authors in India, Anirban has used the funding to organise\u00a0a two-day workshop on Political Economy at IIM\u00a0Bangalore. The pattern was somewhat similar to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/economics\/research\/micro-group\/events\/workshop-21-22-jun-17.html\">Development Workshop<\/a> held\u00a0at Kent in June 2017.
