Earlier this year, Dr Anirban Mitra was awarded (along with six other colleagues from the School) a sum of £1000 (a combination of the Dean of Internationalisation’s Fund and School research funds) for conducting collaborative research with co-authors based outside the UK.
In collaboration with co-authors in India, Anirban has used the funding to organise a two-day workshop on Political Economy at IIM Bangalore. The pattern was somewhat similar to the Development Workshop held at Kent in June 2017. The plenary talk was given by Professor Maitreesh Ghatak from the LSE.
