Eastern Arc Experimental Social Science Workshop will be ‘hybrid’ this September

The ‘Experimental Social Science Workshop’ is taking place a hybrid form (in-person and online) at University of Kent, on September 9-10, 2021.

 

The workshop aims to showcase and discuss recent advances made by the three Eastern Arc universities (Kent, UEA and Essex) in the use of experimental and quasi-experimental methods.

 

Organised by Ceren Baysan, Fernanda L L de Leon and Stefania Sitzia, they welcome submissions. Potential topics of interest include, but other topics falling within the remit of the workshop will also be considered:

 

Development issues

Behavioural issues

Political issues

Historical issues

Group Processes

 

We are pleased to announce the keynote speaker is Prof Imran Rasul (UCL).

Professor Imran Rasul is a Fellow of the British Academy and this year, he was appointed as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire, for Services to Social Sciences. He is the editor of the Journal of the European Economic Association. His research uses field- and lab-experiments to address issues related to labor, education and development. Eastern arc Faculty and PhD students are invited to submit an abstract for the workshop, and welcome to attend.
