The Civil Service are offering a fantastic opportunity for 6 stage 1 and 2 Economics students to experience the day in the life of a civil servant. This will be a trip up to Whitehall including an opportunity to watch a debate or working group in parliament, meet a senior civil servant and a tour of 2 to 3 different Whitehall Departments.

In order to be considered for this brilliant day you need to submit a CV and write 300 words on how you meet three of the Civil Service Competencies, giving examples (approx. 100 words per competency).
The key competencies sets out how the Civil Service would like their Civil Servants to work. It puts the Civil Service values of honesty, integrity, impartiality and objectivity at the heart of everything they do.
There are 10 competencies, briefly these competencies are:

Leading and Communication
Collaborating and Partnering
Building Capability for All
Achieving Commercial Outcomes
Delivering Value for Money
Managing a Quality Service
Delivering at a Pace
