Business Start-Up Journey 2018

Business Start-Up Journey plasma

The Business Start-Up Journey is a 12-week programme designed to help you start your own business and develop important entrepreneurial skills to enhance employability and your CV.

It will guide you through how to find a business idea, how to develop it, test it and build you a strategy to launch, covering areas including marketing, finance and investment.

Join the fun, interactive group sessions to work on problem solving and idea generation, discover how technology can help build your business. You will also develop your presentation and communication skills.

You can discuss your idea in a one-to-one with our business experts – Entrepreneur in Residence, Adam Smith, and our Tech Entrepreneur in Residence, Jason Marshall.

All this, plus free pizza and the chance to win a £1,000 prize to help you start your business.

Sessions mainly take place on Wednesday afternoons so they can fit in around your study.

The Business Start-Up Journey launches on Wednesday 7 November with an inspiring talk by Daniel Rubin, the founder of the international footwear and accessories brand, Dune London.

Daniel will talk about his entrepreneurial journey – taking his business from one pop-up shop to a global brand, including how he nearly lost it all but recovered to head an international company.
