{"id":281,"date":"2022-08-04T12:57:02","date_gmt":"2022-08-04T11:57:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/diversitymarktoolkit\/?page_id=281"},"modified":"2024-10-21T10:25:59","modified_gmt":"2024-10-21T09:25:59","slug":"resources-for-natural-sciences","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/diversitymarktoolkit\/diversity-mark-in-your-division\/resources-for-natural-sciences\/","title":{"rendered":"Natural Sciences"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The library is actively working with the division of Natural Sciences to diversify reading lists and acquire diverse resources to support teaching, learning, and research.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\"> We have a resource list relating to <a href=\"https:\/\/rl.talis.com\/3\/kent\/lists\/09116EC4-3F4F-2476-A455-1FC0E80015D0.html\">Diversity &amp; Inclusion within STEM\u00a0 <\/a><\/span>that you can browse and<a href=\"https:\/\/help.kent.ac.uk\/tas\/public\/ssp\/content\/serviceflow?unid=2a3c4f158bcb406eb1022b2623f181fc&amp;openedFromService=true\"> make recommendations to<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In forensic science, Dr Robert Green OBE, has had two modules awarded for his work in creating more inclusive and accessible learning resources for students.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this work, the library supported him in creating a padlet of resources for diverse voices and topics within the field. This has focused on a number of key areas; practice across diverse geographical areas, women&#8217;s voice in the discipline, race &amp; DNA phenotyping and sharing resources &amp; networks of support for employability in the sector.<\/p>\n<p>The padlet is a useful way to gather articles, books, podcasts, websites and other information.
