If you are just starting this work you can find examples of best practice in different ways:<\/p>\n<h4>Case studies at Kent<\/h4>\n<p>Visit the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/student-success\/diversity-mark\/diversity-mark-awarded-courses\"> Student Success Diversity Mark<\/a> website to discover Kent convenors who have already been awarded the Diversity Mark for a module they teach.\u00a0 You can ask them to share their experience and point to useful resources.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-466 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/diversitymarktoolkit\/files\/2025\/05\/DM-Awards-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"597\" height=\"342\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Case studies in HE sector<\/h4>\n<p>If you want to look further afield, then searching online using key phrases such as &#8216;HE&#8217; and &#8216;Decolonise&#8217; or\u00a0 &#8216;Diversify&#8217; and your discipline should help you find examples of practice. Using these terms in Google Scholar or in databases like the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/library-it\/your-digital-library\/digital-resources-directory\/53\/british-education-index\"><strong> British Education Index<\/strong> \u00a0<\/a>or<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/library-it\/your-digital-library\/digital-resources-directory\/111\/eric-educational-resources-information-center\">ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center)<\/a><\/strong> will also find relevant articles, chapters and conference materials. These organisations are a great place to understand what the challenges are within that specific sector and how this might be addressed in recruitment, teaching and research at universities. For those bodies that provide programme accreditation there might be some specific guidance or initiatives that are helpful to you. At the very least, their reporting on EDI might make an interesting discussion on future employability with students.<\/p>\n<h4>Reading lists<\/h4>\n<p>We have compiled a collection of <a href=\"https:\/\/padlet.com\/sf434\/mpnwroji0eabd6a2\">reading lists and toolkits from other acdemic institutions <\/a>on Padlet. These may also be a good starting point when thinking about making changes to your own.
