An evening lecture from the School of Engineering and Digital Arts kicks off the Lecture series in November<\/p>\n
The Discover STEM@Kent series of lectures and events kicks off next month with the an evening lecture from EDA on Wednesday 20th November. The School’s very own Professor John Batchelo<\/a>r will be delivering the lecture, entitled “Electronic sensing with (almost) no batteries” on Wednesday 20 November from 6 \u2013 7 pm in JLT. The lecture, sponsored by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), will focus on how a simple RFID tag can be converted into a sensing system, and how it can work with (almost) no battery at all.<\/p>\n You can book your place now on Eventbrite<\/a>.<\/p>\n The second lecture in the series will come from The School of Physical Sciences in December before the programme continues in the New Year, with lectures on a range of topics and from across the STEM Schools at the University of Kent:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n More details will follow on the upcoming events, including how to book your place.
