DICE Lunchtime Seminar<\/h3>\n

Hanitra Nomentsoa Andrianantenaina from the Durrell Conservation Academy in Madagascar will be giving a talk on the training courses taking place in Madagascar and also her PhD, on the topic of the importance of competencies of protected area managers in Madagascar. Join us today (Monday 4th November) from 1-2pm in Marlowe Lecture Theatre 2, or via teams<\/a>. Open to DICE Staff and DICE PhD students only.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Visualisation and Gamification ~ Louise McMillan<\/span><\/h3>\n

Dr Louise McMillan is visiting from the School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Wellington, and will be presenting a seminar this Wednesday (6th) from 12-1pm on three research areas, from statistical techniques for population genetics to a computer game that helps students revise first year statistics topics. Join us in Templeman Library Seminar Room 3. Open to all staff and students.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

DICE Seminar Series<\/h3>\n

Returning for another week is the DICE Seminar series. This week, Emily Cole visits DICE from the University of Southhampton to present, Bridging the gap between national legislation and local implementation: the case of biodiversity net gain (BNG)<\/span><\/i>. Join us from 4-5pm in Marlowe Lecture Theatre 1. Open to all staff and students.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kent Community Oasis Garden<\/h3>\n

The campus community garden are running their bi-weekly gardening sessions as usual, on Wednesday and Friday from 10-2pm. At Wednesday’s session, be sure to bring along your neglected houseplants for their monthly Houseplant Hospital between 12 and 1pm. Open to all.<\/strong><\/p>\n
