This week at DICE marks the launch of our new research initiative, funded by Research England: E3 Sharing Space for Nature. As such, we have multiple events open to all students, staff and members of the public.
Nature Restoration Walk: E3 Sharing Space for Nature
Thursday 21st November, 1-2:30pm
On the day of our official project launch for E3 Sharing Space for Nature, join Dr Gail Austen for a walking tour of some spaces on campus that could be used for biodiversity. We’ll take a look at how these spaces are currently being managed and look into what interventions could be done to boost biodiversity in these areas. No need to book, just meet us at Keynes Duck Pond at 1pm.
DICE Seminar: Jane Hopper
Thursday 21st November, 4-5pm
This week’s DICE Seminar is presented by Jane Hopper, from the Aspinall Foundation, titled, ‘Javan gibbon conservation in Java’. Join us in MLT1. Open to current students and staff only.
E3 Sharing Space for Nature Official Launch Event & November DICE Talk
Thursday 21st November, 5-7pm
You are invited to celebrate the launch of our new E3 Sharing Space for Nature initiative, funded by Research England. This month is also the 35th Anniversary of the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) so we invite you to celebrate this along with us as well! If you are a current DICE student or staff member, some tickets have been reserved. Contact ssfn@kent.ac.uk if you would like to attend. Members of the public can book through Eventbrite, where there are just a few tickets remaining!
As always, Kent Community Oasis Garden runs bi-weekly sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 10-2pm. Open to all.
Have a great week!
