{"id":564,"date":"2014-07-11T11:09:13","date_gmt":"2014-07-11T10:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/development\/?p=564"},"modified":"2014-07-11T11:12:51","modified_gmt":"2014-07-11T10:12:51","slug":"alumnus-creates-website-to-promote-free-activities-in-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/development\/2014\/07\/11\/alumnus-creates-website-to-promote-free-activities-in-london\/","title":{"rendered":"Alumnus creates website to promote free activities in London"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Kent alumnus has set up a website to promote activities which London residents and visitors can enjoy \u2013 and it won\u2019t cost them a penny!<\/p>\n<p>David Asquith, who graduated from Kent in 2013 with a BA (Hons) in Sociology, created the website\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.londonwebmaps.co.uk\/index.php\">londonwebmaps.co.uk<\/a>\u00a0in a bid to prove that his beloved hometown of London is not as expensive to live in and visit as people may think. Visitors to the site can find out which museums and galleries do not charge an admission fee, discover places to visit which they may not have otherwise thought of, as well as read the London Days Out blog, which will take them on a journey down the Thames.<\/p>\n<p>David says: \u201cWe decided to set up a website to show people that doing things in London can be relatively cheap, as there are many attractions with free admission.
