On Saturday 2nd August, the Kent Velo Girls<\/a> (KVG) and Kent Velo Boys (KVB) came together for a charity bike ride in aid of the Parkinson\u2019s Centre for Integrated Therapy (PCIT).<\/p>\n

Under blue skies and glorious sunshine, 50 members of the club set off from Hilden Park Golf Club on a specially organised charity ride, one of several events aimed at raising vital funds for PCIT. With two route options available, a scenic 60km and a more challenging 84km, the event was designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all riders, regardless of experience or pace.<\/p>\n

One of the day\u2019s highlights was a mid-ride stop at Ladysden Farmshop, where the club provided coffee and a cream tea in exchange for donations.<\/p>\n

The ride was part of KVG\u2019s ambitious mission to raise \u00a33,000 in support of PCIT<\/a> and they\u2019re already well on their way, having raised an impressive \u00a32,620 so far.<\/p>\n

Sport England has pledged \u00a37,500 to help equip the Neurogym at PCIT, a pioneering space offering tailored physical therapy and exercise for people living with Parkinson\u2019s. The catch? We need to raise a further \u00a37,500 to unlock the match funding and we are so grateful to KVG for helping us to get close to this target.<\/p>\n

We are just \u00a3787 away from reaching the \u00a315,000 total – can you help us?<\/p>\n
