She has conferred over 3,000 degrees, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/news\/kentlife\/35357\/alice-oseman-among-those-awarded-kent-honorary-degrees\">welcomed five new honorary graduates<\/a>, celebrated with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/alumni\/news\/5053\/class-of-1974-golden-graduates-celebrate-fifty-years-as-kent-alumni\">17 alumni marking the 50th anniversary of their own graduations<\/a>, and put smiles on the faces of countless students and their families!<\/p>\n<p>Having graduated with a first-class undergraduate degree in European Management Science with Spanish from Kent Business School, and a masters in Methods of Social Research from the School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research, YolanDa knows only too well how special graduating in Kent&#8217;s magnificent Cathedral&#8217;s is for our students.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5044\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5044\" style=\"width: 1600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/development\/files\/2024\/07\/Untitled-design-66.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-5044 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/development\/files\/2024\/07\/Untitled-design-66.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5044\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">YolanDa Brown with honorary graduate Jenny Sealey<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Speaking about her new role earlier this year, YolanDa said: \u2018My time at the University was character building, life affirming, and a bucket full of emotions. Every single time I am on campus a new memory returns, so you can imagine my joy accepting this role as Chancellor. The University has always been at the forefront of fostering a diverse, inclusive, and vibrant community.
