Our walls at the Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy not only serve a functional purpose providing information and resources for our members, they have now also received a touch of artistic beauty thanks to the generosity of artist Angela M Fordham.<\/p>\n

Angela painted two vibrant and captivating paintings of Woodlands, our new home, and these now grace our reception area, offering a welcome respite and a source of inspiration for our patients, families and staff. What makes these artworks even more special is the personal story behind them.<\/p>\n

Angela’s husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the young age of 39. This life-altering event not only impacted their family but also fueled Angela’s desire to give back to the Parkinson’s community that has supported them in their journey.\u00a0 Angela said:<\/p>\n

“Knowing the positive impact the Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy has had on the lives of those living with this condition inspired me to contribute in a meaningful way. Art has always been a source of peace and joy for me and I hope these paintings can bring a similar sense of comfort and beauty to people spending time at the Centre.”<\/p>\n

Angela’s act of generosity is a testament to the power of art to uplift and inspire. Her paintings serve not only as beautiful additions to our Centre but also as a reminder of the strength, compassion and hope that exist within our community.<\/p>\n

We are incredibly grateful for Angela’s generosity and her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s disease.<\/p>\n
