{"id":4400,"date":"2024-02-22T11:49:45","date_gmt":"2024-02-22T11:49:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/development\/?p=4400"},"modified":"2024-02-22T11:50:19","modified_gmt":"2024-02-22T11:50:19","slug":"thank-you-to-the-thanet-quilters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/development\/2024\/02\/22\/thank-you-to-the-thanet-quilters\/","title":{"rendered":"Thank you to the Thanet Quilters for their gift of \u00a31,411"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are extremely grateful to the <a href=\"https:\/\/thanetquilters.weebly.com\/\">Thanet Quilters<\/a> for their donation of \u00a31,411.13 towards vital equipment for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/parkinsons\">Parkinson&#8217;s Centre for Integrated Therapy<\/a> (PCIT) including an exercise bike which will help our members during one to one exercise classes.<\/p>\n<p>Stella Gibbs, a member of both PCIT and the Thanet Quilters, presented the cheque to Professor David Wilkinson at the official opening of the Centre at Woodlands on Tuesday 20th February.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Wilkinson said, &#8220;On behalf of the PCIT team, I would like to thank the Thanet Quilters for their extraordinary generosity. Their gift is a beautiful stitch woven into the fabric of our Parkinson&#8217;s Centre, providing vital equipment that will enhance the lives of those we support.
