{"id":4148,"date":"2023-09-28T12:20:15","date_gmt":"2023-09-28T11:20:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/development\/?p=4148"},"modified":"2023-09-28T12:20:15","modified_gmt":"2023-09-28T11:20:15","slug":"emily-renshaw-kidd-takes-up-the-reins-as-artistic-director-of-canterbury-cantata-trust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/development\/2023\/09\/28\/emily-renshaw-kidd-takes-up-the-reins-as-artistic-director-of-canterbury-cantata-trust\/","title":{"rendered":"Emily Renshaw-Kidd takes up the reins as Artistic Director of Canterbury Cantata Trust"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following over 10 years as founder and Artistic Director of Canterbury Cantata Trust, Professor Grenville Hancox MBE has handed over the role to his successor Emily Renshaw-Kidd, a member of our extended team here at the Parkinson&#8217;s Centre for Integrated Therapy.\u00a0 Grenville has been a long-time mentor, inspiration and friend to Emily through her music degrees at Canterbury Christ Church University and their numerous musical partnerships; they share the same passion for and ethos of \u201ccaring through singing\u201d. Following a handover period, Emily is now working as Artistic Director for the charity and will begin to undertake the tasks that this role presents, acting as a principal singing ambassador for the charity.<\/p>\n<p>Emily said: <em>\u201cI am extremely honoured and excited to become the new Artistic Director for Canterbury Cantata Trust.
