{"id":2649,"date":"2020-04-01T14:42:44","date_gmt":"2020-04-01T13:42:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/development\/?p=2649"},"modified":"2020-04-27T15:07:28","modified_gmt":"2020-04-27T14:07:28","slug":"kents-forensic-science-team-donates-personal-protective-equipment-to-nhs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/development\/2020\/04\/01\/kents-forensic-science-team-donates-personal-protective-equipment-to-nhs\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent\u2019s Forensic Science team donates personal protective equipment to NHS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Kent\u2019s Forensic Science team has donated a range of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Infection Prevention and Control Team at the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/development\/files\/2020\/03\/Forensic-Science-PPE-COVID19-e1585753408644-1920x1280.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2655\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/development\/files\/2020\/03\/Forensic-Science-PPE-COVID19-e1585753408644-1920x1280.jpeg\" alt=\"Forensic Science Team\" width=\"252\" height=\"175\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>PPE such as oversuits, goggles, face masks and shoe covers, which is utilised by Kent\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/courses\/postgraduate\/5\/forensic-science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">forensic science\u00a0<\/a>students during crime scene assessments, has been provided to\u00a0<strong>protect NHS staff and patients<\/strong>\u00a0during the\u00a0<strong>COVID-19 pandemic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/physical-sciences\/people\/380\/shepherd-chris\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr Chris Shepherd<\/a>, Director of Undergraduate Studies for Forensic Science, said: \u2018I would like to thank Phil Marsh from our lab team for helping out with this effort.
