Kent Velo Girls help us get closer to our £7,500 fundraising target for PCIT

On Saturday 2nd August, the Kent Velo Girls (KVG) and Kent Velo Boys (KVB) came together for a charity bike ride in aid of the Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy (PCIT).

Under blue skies and glorious sunshine, 50 members of the club set off from Hilden Park Golf Club on a specially organised charity ride, one of several events aimed at raising vital funds for PCIT. With two route options available, a scenic 60km and a more challenging 84km, the event was designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all riders, regardless of experience or pace.

One of the day’s highlights was a mid-ride stop at Ladysden Farmshop, where the club provided coffee and a cream tea in exchange for donations.

The ride was part of KVG’s ambitious mission to raise £3,000 in support of PCIT and they’re already well on their way, having raised an impressive £2,620 so far.

Sport England has pledged £7,500 to help equip the Neurogym at PCIT, a pioneering space offering tailored physical therapy and exercise for people living with Parkinson’s. The catch? We need to raise a further £7,500 to unlock the match funding and we are so grateful to KVG for helping us to get close to this target.

We are just £787 away from reaching the £15,000 total – can you help us?
