A heartfelt thank you to the East Kent Freemasons

At the Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy (PCIT), we are always grateful for the generosity and support of our community which helps us continue providing vital services to those living with Parkinson’s disease. On Tuesday 10th December, we had the pleasure of hosting members from the East Kent Freemasons, who took the time to visit PCIT, tour our facilities and learn more about the work we do.

We were delighted to showcase the range of therapies and programmes that we offer, all designed to support individuals with Parkinson’s in their journey towards better health and well-being. The visit from the Freemasons allowed us to demonstrate the impact that these services have on improving quality of life.

During their visit, the Freemasons presented us with a generous donation of £2,700 which will be used to purchase much-needed equipment (including a Nordic Cross Trainer) for our Neurogym, a key part of PCIT’s offering. The Neurogym is a unique facility designed to help individuals with Parkinson’s engage in exercise and activities which stimulate the brain, improve mobility and maintain independence. With the Freemasons’ support, we will be able to enhance the Neurogym and continue to offer our members the best possible tools and equipment to aid in their therapy.

We are immensely grateful to the following Lodges and Chapters for their donations: Ardea Lodge (Herne Bay) £500, Swakely Lodge (Whitstable) £250, Kent Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge (Maidstone) £250, Kent Provincial Grand Stewards Chapter (Canterbury) £250, Binnewith Lodge (Canterbury) £100 and to the Cornwallis East Kent Freemasons Charity who match funded all of the above donations.

We would like to thank all those who supported this gift for their kindness and for choosing to support our work. Their contribution will make a significant difference to the lives of those who rely on the services we provide. It’s heart-warming to know that there are such dedicated and caring individuals in our community and we are proud to have them as partners in our mission.

On behalf of everyone at the Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy, thank you to the East Kent Freemasons for your generosity and commitment to improving the lives of people with Parkinson’s. Your support truly makes a difference and we look forward to continuing our work together to make the world a better place for those affected by this condition.
