We would like to thank the champions of a recent charity quiz and curry night, hosted by Solley’s at The Pub at Solley’s in Ripple, near Deal, for choosing to donate their £510 winnings to the Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy. This incredibly generous act will make a real difference to the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s disease in our community.
Team Member, Brenda Brunsdon, said: “Parkinson’s is a cruel and debilitating disease which forces sufferers to adapt their lives in countless ways. It not only impacts them, but their families as well. Despite its seriousness, Parkinson’s doesn’t receive the same level of public awareness as other diseases. We felt it was important to support research and therapies in this area especially by supporting a smaller charity here in Kent.”
The team at the Parkinson’s Centre is incredibly grateful to both the winning team and Solley’s for their generosity and their commitment to raising awareness of Parkinson’s disease. Thank you to everybody involved.
