Hot on the heels of the World Parkinson Congress held in Barcelona this summer, Spotlight YOPD is co-hosting a dedicated taster day to increase the understanding of young onset Parkinson’s disease.
Simply called YOPD’23, the event includes therapies and feel-good activities, essential information for both people with YOPD and practitioners, audience involvement, expert knowledge and lived experience, much of which will be presented by those with Young Onset Parkinson’s. Invited guests include Gillian Lacey-Solymar from the BBC podcast Movers and Shakers.
The event will be held at the Kent MS Therapy Centre in Canterbury, Kent where the new Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy (PCIT) is based. PCIT plans to become the UK’s first dedicated YOPD hub.
More information to follow on the Eventbrite page but please make a note of the date in your diary – 21st October, 1pm-5pm – and register your attendance online. Attendance is free but donations to PCIT would be most welcome to help support the costs of the event and to help maintain our service.
